All the Smithsonian museums and galleries are open daily all year (except December 25) from 10am until 5.30pm. To cope with the summer crowds, however, several museums - including the Air and Space, Natural History and American History museums - open daily from 10am until 6.30pm from the first Monday in June to the first Monday in September. Admission to all the galleries is free.
