Location. Mondrian Scottsdale is in Scottsdale, Ariz., one-quarter mile from Old Town Scottsdale and Scottsdale Mall. The hotel is within one mile of Scottsdale Stadium and Scottsdale Fashion Square. Continental Golf Course and Indian School Park are less than two miles away.
Hotel Features. From the street, only the gardens and walls of Mondrian Scottsdale are visible. The hotel's 25-foot Mondrian gates, created from tropical bougainvillea, lead to the hotel's entrance with a walkway of stenciled leaves. A fountain and white cascading drapes mark the lobby. The lobby features Garden of Eden style with antique mirrors, a serpentine bench supported by a baobab tree, clouds, cherubs, pink lighting and a subtle image of Durer's Adam and Eve. Skybar is furnished with black wing chairs and a bed for star-gazing. Skybar also offers veiled cabanas for private entertainment. Red Bar features a bowl of oversized transparent glass apples and scarlet textiles. The hotel focuses on indoor/outdoor living with open indoor spaces leading to the outside gardens. The two summit trails' elevation gains are approximately 1,200 feet. The head of Camelback Mountain is made of layered sandstone. The hump is made of granite older than the head's sandstone.
