Location. Nestled amid pine trees and snow-capped summits, the North Bay at Lake Arrowhead (Calif.) is a mountain lodge with condominium-style accommodations. Located 90 miles outside of Los Angeles, the resort is within 30 minutes of several ski areas, including Snow Valley, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit.

From Los Angeles:
Take I-10 East to 215 North toward San Bernardino.
Get on I-30 East.
Exit at Waterman Ave. and turn left.
Continue on Waterman for 20 miles, which becomes Hwy. 18.
Turn left on Daley Canyon Road.
Exit at Blue Jay.
At the first stop sign, enter Hwy. 189.
