Area Activities

Aspen Mountain rises out of the heart of downtown Aspen. Known for its steeps, bumps, and challenging black diamonds, it draws expert skiers from around the world. There is also Snowcat skiing on the backside. Aspen is also known as an arts and entertainment center, with concerts, art exhibits, theater, and ballet. Discover a string quartet playing on the corner during a stroll through the charming downtown streets or catch a performance at the stunning Wheeler Opera House. The Aspen Art Museum features world-class exhibits and outdoor sculptures in the Grande Park. Aspen has more than 500 performances, lectures, classes, films, and exhibits on their calendar throughout the year. In the summer months, this beautiful area offers kayaking, river rafting, fishing, golf, horseback riding, hot-air ballooning, parasailing, and tennis. In the winter, besides world-class skiing, there is snowboarding, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, sleigh rides, and ice-skating. Tour historic sites, including two ghost towns. Guests must check in at the Frias Properties of Aspen office, located at 730 East Durant Avenue, Aspen, CO - From Denver International Airport: Take I-70 West to Glenwood Springs. Take Highway 82 approximately 40 miles south to Aspen. Highway 82 will turn into Main Street after the "S" turn. Follow Main Street until it curves towards the mountain and turns into Original Street. At the four-way stop, go straight. One block up, turn right. Frias Properties is on the right on the corner of original and Durant Ave.
