Location. Tranquility Bay Beach House Resort is located in the heart of the Florida Keys in Marathon, Fla. Nestled on 12 tropically landscaped acres of land overlooking the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico, guests will enjoy a pristine white-sand beach and the Gulf's calm, warm waters. The Marathon Airport, one of only two airports in the Keys, is less than a mile away. The resort is convenient to shopping, dining and Florida Keys' attractions. Hundreds of outfitters exist throughout the Keys, providing numerous water activities, including parasailing, cave diving, boating, fishing and sky diving.
Hotel Features. A lagoon-style pool meanders throughout the resort, and there is a stocked fishing cove on the property. The Adventure Concierge coordinates personalized recreational pursuits, including fishing, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, boating and parasailing. Spa services are available, and there is a fitness center on site. The Butterfly Café features a tropical menu with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients served in an indoor/outdoor setting. The Turtle Tiki Bar offers tropical drinks and fantastic sunset views. Safe-deposit boxes and a video library are located at the 24-hour front desk, and the staff can arrange supervised child care/activities. Conference and wedding spaces are available, and complimentary wireless Internet access is provided in some public areas.

Guestrooms. Each of the two- and three-bedroom accommodations feature balconies with lagoon or ocean views and kitchens with ranges, refrigerators and microwave ovens. Washers and dryers are also provided. Entertainment amenities include plasma and flat-screen cable televisions with premium channels, DVD players and CD stereos.

Expert Tip. The Dolphin Research Center, one block from the resort, allows visitors to swim and play with dolphins in a natural saltwater pool. Unless you just plan on watching, reservations should be made a least a few weeks in advance.
