Location. Sandalfoot Condos, directly on the Gulf of Mexico in Sanibel, Fla., is located on what is said to be one of the best shelling beaches in the world. The condos are a one-mile walk from Lighthouse Point, and are within one mile of two 18-hole public golf courses. Fort Myers, with attractions including the Edison-Ford Winter Estates and the "Imaginarium" Hands-On Museum, is a 20-mile drive over the Sanibel Causeway Bridge.
Hotel Features. Sandalfoot Condos offers 60 units in two gulf-front and three gulf view buildings. Activities available at the resort include: tennis, shuffleboard and basketball. Bicycles are perfect for exploring the 25 miles of paved trails around the island and rentals are available on site. A central courtyard offers a heated outdoor pool and sundeck with chaise lounges and umbrellas. Games, books, and movies are available in most units and in the office.

Guestrooms. All condo accommodations offered at this resort have separate living, sleeping, dining areas and full kitchens. Gulf view balconies have dining and lounging furniture. Cable televisions and DVD/VCRs are included, and there is a second television in the main bedrooms. Most units are equipped with stereo and CD players. Condos are individually decorated and vary in color scheme and decor.

Expert Tip. J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge, located seven miles from the resort, is a 6,300-acre wildlife preserve home to 238 species of birds, 50 types of reptiles, and 32 different kinds of mammals. The refuge offers walking and biking paths, in addition to narrated tram, canoe and kayak tours.
