Location. Located on the east end of Sanibel Island, Fla., this resort sits between the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and the canal of the back bay. The lagoon offers complimentary dockage and water access to the back bay. Sanibel Moorings Resort is one and one-half miles from the historic Sanibel Lighthouse, and allows easy access to the mainland via the nearby causeway. There are two 18-hole golf courses less than one mile away.
Features. This resort offers the privacy of individual condominiums with many of the amenities of a resort, including two heated pools, exercise room, children's pool, tennis courts and book/video library. Canoe and kayak rentals are available for exploring the quiet back waters of the lagoon and the canals. Bikes can be rented through the office to use on the 25 miles of paved trails on the island. The on-site business center is equipped with wireless high-speed Internet access, which guests can also pick up poolside or in the nearby butterfly garden. Personal computers and fax/copy services are available. The resort also offers a boardroom table, chairs, speaker phone and overhead projector for meetings. Housekeeping is available for an additional charge of $25 per service (subject to change).

Guestrooms. 122 condo accommodations at Sanibel Moorings Resort are individually owned and decorated, and are equipped with full kitchens and separate living and dining areas. Private screened-in lanais offer views of the beach, garden courtyards or the lagoon. Cable TV and DVD players and VCRs are included.
