Hotel Features. Opened in 1947, the Hotel Hana Maui introduces their privileged guests to an enchanting world of outdoor activities such as open-air yoga, aqua-aerobics, garden walks and lei making. Located only one block from Hamoa Beach, this remote luxury property also affords their guests with opportunities for snorkeling and horseback riding on the beach. Although the hotel's food and beverage service could be improved upon, their onsite spa services are praised by guests, who appreciate ocean views from each of the nine treatment rooms.

Expert Tip. Travelers should consider bringing some food of their own to this resort, as the hotel's food is expensive and unusually mediocre. There are several places that sell fresh pineapples and banana bread, two of the area's most acclaimed foods.

Exit out of the airport onto Keolani Place.
Turn left on Haleakala Hwy /Hwy 37, go one mile.
Turn left on Hwy 36, which becomes the Hana Hwy.
