Location. Located near the resort community of Kaanapali, with its quiet charm and championship golf courses, ResortQuest at Papakea Resort is four miles from Lahaina, Hawaii, on the island of Maui. West Maui's sunny and easygoing Honokowai area and the city of Lahaina provide casual and elegant dining.

Features. A relaxing haven set on 13 oceanfront acres, ResortQuest at Papakea Resort features expansive manicured lawns, tropical landscaping and tranquil koi ponds, all framed by coconut palms and tropical sunsets. Business services are available at the front desk, including fax and photocopy services. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided in public areas. The resort boasts two ocean-view splash pools, three illuminated tennis courts, two putting greens and three spa tubs. Yoga and introductory surfing classes are complimentary. Shuffleboard and Sunday putting contests are available. A short walk over a picturesque bridge brings guests to the resort's partner property, where children's programs for children ages five through 12 are available for a fee. The programs include Hawaiian cultural activities such as ukulele lessons and hula-skirt making.

Guestrooms. Refreshing color schemes and island-style furnishings decorate the air-conditioned condos at ResortQuest at Papakea Resort. All condos offer furnished lanais, some with ocean views. Cable television, VCRs and complimentary wireless Internet access are included. All units feature kitchens with refrigerators, microwave ovens, coffeemakers, dishes and cookware. Bathrooms offer tub/shower combinations and ResortQuest toiletries.

Expert Tip. I greatly appreciated the hotel's resort orientation on my first morning at the ResortQuest at Papakea Resort. I learned about the resort's amenities and enjoyed a complimentary island breakfast.


Please Note:
This hotel is currently renovating its roof until late December 2007 (completion dates subject to change). Work is expected to take approximately one month per building and will only affect the fourth-floor units.

Work will only be done from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and the hotel will do its best to accommodate guests only on floors 1 through 3. The hotel assures that it will make every effort to minimize construction noise and related disturbance.
