Location. Kona Coast Resort is beautifully landscaped and conveniently located across from the Keauhou Shopping Village and adjacent to the Kona Country Club Golf Course in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Part of the allure of the Big Island is its contrasting geology. Active volcanoes, shimmering waterfalls, snowcapped mountains, tropical rainforests, a glacial lake and miles upon miles of golden, black, white and even green-sand beaches occupy an area smaller than the state of Connecticut.
Hotel Features. Settled amongst 21 acres of lush tropical gardens, the resort offers two outdoor pools, a children's pools, a dry sauna and three jetted tubs. Recreational amenities include a three-mile running track, a putting green, two playgrounds, an exercise facility and volleyball, shuffleboard and basketball courts. Children's activities are offered and in-room child care can be arranged. Sea Shell Point is a restaurant/bar that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in an indoor/outdoor setting, or guests can utilize the on site barbeque grills. The multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can assist with dry cleaning, tour planning, concierge and business services. Guest laundry facilities are located on site.

Guestrooms. Each of the condo-style accommodations feature private, furnished lanais and full kitchens with refrigerators, ranges, microwave ovens and dishwashers. Laundry machines are provided in every unit and the entertainment centers include DVD/VCRs, CD stereos and cable televisions. High-speed Internet access is available and in-room safes are large enough to accommodate laptops.

Expert Tip. On the other side of the island visitors can check out one of Hawaii's most scenic waterfalls, Akaka Falls, via a paved path that loops through a rainforest. Fantastic views of the 442-foot falls and of nearby Kahuna Falls can be found at the observation point.
