Green Dolphin Street 2200 N Ashland Ave tel 773/395-0066. This swanky, pricey restaurant and jazz club offers a solid line-up of regular performers.
The Green Mill 4802 N Broadway tel 773/878-5552. This place had a checkered past during Prohibition and is in the tough Uptown neighborhood, but it is one of the best - and most beautiful - rooms for local and national talent.
Joe Segal's Jazz Showcase 59 W Grand Ave tel 312/670-2473. A classy, dressy room hosts premier jazz by top names.
