Smart Bar 3730 N Clark St, underneath the Metro tel 773/549-0203. Great techno and house on the weekend in post-industrial Wrigleyville surroundings. Weekdays see a mix of punk, goth and Eighties. The whole complex is open late - until 5am Fri and Sat.

Voyeur 151 W Ohio St tel 312/832-1717. For clubgoers who take their people-watching seriously, this popular space offers two-way mirrors, fish-eye lenses, and closed-circuit TV cameras trained on the stainless-steel dance floor.
