Once you've arrived, the best information, including self-guided walking tours, free maps and a variety of discount vouchers can be found at the Welcome Center , on Jackson Square at 529 St Ann St in the French Quarter (daily 9am-5pm; tel 504/566-5031).The post office is at 701 Loyola Ave (Mon-Fri 7am-11pm, Sat 7am-8pm, Sun noon-5pm; zip code 70140); an equivalent service, along with fax, FedEx, photocopying and phone rental, is offered by the French Quarter Postal Emporium, 1000 Bourbon St (Mon-Fri 9.30am-6pm, Sat 10am-3pm; tel 504/525-6652).
