Location. The Maple Street Inn, located in West Barnstable, Mass., is one-half mile off historic Route 6A, which is the city's Main Street. Stately old sea captains' homes and other historic buildings are approximately five miles from the inn. The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum and the Barnstable Harbor, which serves as a launching point for charter fishing and whale-watching cruises, are less than eight miles away.
Features. This 1853 Second Empire Mansard home occupies a place in the National Register of Historic Places. The inn overlooks Mill Pond, which serves as a popular home for ducks and swans. Complimentary three-course gourmet breakfasts, including muffins, banana bread, baked eggs, waffles, French toast or quiche Lorraine, are served daily. Antique wooden furniture and large portrait paintings are accompanied by candles and flowers. Pets are not allowed at this property.
