Glacier National Park: Eating and drinking
Food in the park, served in the various hotel dining rooms, is nothing special. The best place to head in the immediate vicinity - outside the lodges - is East Glacier Park, where Serrano's , 29 Dawson Ave (mid-April to mid-Oct; tel 406/226-9392), serves delicious Mexican food and microbrews. On the east side of Hwy-49, next to Brownie's , is the cozy Whistlestop Café , which has a great menu featuring terrific huckleberry pie. On the northeast side of Glacier the funky Two Sisters Café on Hwy-89 in Babb (tel 406/732-5535) is obvious from the "Aliens Welcome" sign on the roof, and the food is top notch.
