Location. The Latchis Hotel, located in downtown Brattleboro, Vt., is one block from the Connecticut River and one-quarter mile from the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center. Restaurants, a wine lounge, two brew pubs and a variety of independently-owned shops are available starting one block from the property. The Barnswallow Gardens are less than 10 miles away.
Features. The Latchis Hotel is one of only two Art Deco buildings in Vermont, and is furnished with period pieces throughout the building. The hotel includes a lobby café serving complimentary continental breakfasts each morning, and offering complimentary high-speed Internet access. A conference room can accommodate up to eight people. The Latchis Hotel features a ballroom, a live performance theater and an old movie palace with 750 seats, three screens and a balcony. A restaurant and shops are located in the hotel, including the Flat Street Brew Pub, which features 20 different kinds of beers on tap. Shops include Evan James Jewelers and Adivasi, offering cultural wares from India. Pets are not allowed.
